This retreat offers a diverse range of mosaic-making techniques. From creating your own abstract designs to working with mixed materials sourced locally, including beads and traditional African beadwork, this course promises a creative adventure like no other. We'll even start by painting our surfaces and then layering beads and tesserae on top.
In addition to the hands-on mosaic experience, we'll explore Cape Town's vibrant art scene with visits to galleries, studios (including the renowned former Spier mosaic academy), craft markets, and more. Plus, indulge in wine tastings, savor delicious local cuisine, and take leisurely walks on picturesque beaches for artistic inspiration or a refreshing start to your day.
